Thomas was born after 1700 in Chesterfield Co., VA. Thomas' father was John Goode. His paternal grandparents were John, The Immigrant Goode and Anne Bennet. He had two brothers and a sister, named Bennet, John Chesterfield and Mary. He died after 1780 in Chesterfield Co., VA.General Notes

"Thomas Goode No. 58 in Virginia Cousins removed with his mother to
southwest Virginia, where he lived and acquired an estate on the Roanoke
River. He returned to Chesterfield Co., where he possessed land, still
retaining his lands in Mecklenburg co., which his son, John C. Goode,
inherited. He was a planter, and amassed a very large property. Like his
elder brother, he was remarkably fond of fine horses; he owned the famous
'Diomede,' and 'Imported Archduke.' 'Imported Precipitate,' and 'Imported
Sir Robin' partly belonged to him, or were in some manner in his
