Nancy's father was Bennet Goode and her mother was Catherine Parsons.  Her paternal grandparents were William Goode and Mlle Marie Morrisette. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, William B., Robert, Betsy, Patsy, Polly, Winnie and Sally.
