Ruth was born in Nantucket, Massachussetts.1 Ruth's father was John, Esq. Gardner and her mother was Priscilla Grafton. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Gardner and Margaret Frayre; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Grafton and Mary Scarlet. She had eight brothers and seven sisters, named George, Joseph, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Nathaniel, John, John, Benjamin, Priscilla, Rachel, Mary, Mary, Love, Mehitabel and Ann. She died on October 4th, 1748 in Prob. Nantucket, Massachussetts.1 -
