Giles, Jr. was born on March 28th, 1845. Giles, Jr.'s father was Giles Cooke and his mother was Elizabeth Lane. His paternal grandparents were William Cooke and Betsey Baker. He had two brothers and two sisters, named George Wythe, Henry Lane, Martha and Mary. He was the oldest of the five children. He died in Front Royal, VA.-
