General George Carrington 
General George was born on November 21st, 1756 in Charlotte Co., Va. General George's father was Judge Paul, Sr. Carrington and his mother was Margaret Read. His paternal grandparents were George Carrington and Anne Mayo; his maternal grandparents were Col. Clement Reade and Mary Hill. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Colonel Clement, Judge Paul, Jr., Mary Scott and Anne. He had a half-brother named Colonel Henry. He died at the age of 52 on May 27th, 1809 in Halifax Co., Va.-
