Her paternal grandparents were Joseph, Jr. Bickley and Elizabeth Overton; her maternal grandfather was Major Samuel Ragland. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Joseph, Samuel Ragland, James, Dr. Waller O., Margaret Henly or Henrietta, Elizabeth Overton, Lucy and Henrietta.-
