Charles was born on June 29th, 1909.1 Charles' father was Charlie Baetke and his mother was Ella Startz. His paternal grandparents were Otto Baetke and Johanna Tausch. He had a brother and two sisters, named Howard Alfred, Viola Emilie and Hortense. He was the oldest of the four children.-
