From: Obituaries from Trimble County, Kentucky before 1928
Butler, Brook(e), 100, died 10 December 1962, buried Moffett Cemetery. (Mary Brooke Trout d/o John H. and Sarah Abbott Baker m. Ben Butler, 6 November 1895.) She was 100 years old in June, husband deceased. Surivived by daughter, Mrs. Robert Kipping; step-daughter Mrs. Allie Marson [Martin]; step-son, William Butler; two sisters, [part of line missing]; and Mrs. Mary Asher [step-daughter, Mary Butler]; one brother, Levi Baker.
[Obituary information is not entirely correct. Mary Brooke Trout was the daughter of William Francis Trout and Ruhama Brook Cooper and was Ben Butler's second wife and did indeed marry Ben 6 November 1895. Brook(e) Butler was Ben's third wife and her maiden name was Baker. Brook H. Baker married Benjamin Franklin Butler in 1903. This is Brook Baker Butler's obituary and she did indeed see a century - Ben Butler's grandchildren remember her.]
