Narrative
Lucy B. Reynolds Cavanaugh, daughter of John and Anne Reynolds, was born at Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland, 12 may 1839 and died at her home near Salem, Indiana, 11 June 1916, aged 77 years and 30 days.
Mrs. Cavanaugh's early life was spent in her native land where she resided until she was nineteen years old. She then left her home accompanied by her nephew MICHAEL DENNENY, and came to America to live with the family of her brother, James Reynolds. Although she never ceased to love her native country, America as the land of freedom became her ideal and she loved her adopted land with greatest zeal.
