Narrative
From: Mark C. Butler, Jr. The Butler & Farley Families of Trimble County, Kentucky
"In 1866 Robert H. Pendleton sold his farm on the Little Kentuck and the combined family, including two sons and two married daughters and their families, set out by steamboat for greener pastures in Gentry County in northwestern Missouri. While there, Mary Elizabeth, Joseph and Nancy's third child, was born on 6 February 1867. She never married and after her father died made her home for most of the rest of her life with her brother, Mark, and his wife and family. She died on 16 March 1948."
