Joshua Freeman Hooker 
Joshua Freeman was born on November 21st, 1795 in Cumberland County, North Carolina. Joshua Freeman's father was Benjamin Hooker and his mother was Ann Frizzelle. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Hooker and Anne Freeman; his maternal grandfather was Jonathan Frizzelle. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Benjamin F., Jonathan Frizelle, Matthew, Nancy "Nannie", Elizabeth , Frances, Chloe, Rebecca, Mary and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 70 on January 23rd, 1866 in Morgan County, Arkansas.General Notes
Joshua Freeman Hooker was also born in North Carolina, but after residing many years in Wilson County, Tennessee, he removed in 1840 to Fayette County, Tennessee, and in 1851 he came to Monroe County, Arkansas, where he died of small-pox in 1866. He was the father of a large family, a farmer by occupation, and was a soldier in the War of 1812, and was with Jackson at New Orleans.
Hooker, Joshua married Wynne, Fanny on 14 October 1816 in Rutherford County, Tennessee
