John Cogan, senior [altered to Agnes Smith/ now Richard Smyth] son of William Cogan and John Cogan junior [50] hold by copy dated 24 Sept. 33 Henry VIII [1541] one messuage and one toft containing 2 virgates of land of Old Auster, to hold to them for term of their lives, according to etc., for rent thence p.a. of 18s5d and 10 pecks of wheat, 2 heriots, and yerelie to be letten for 5 poundes [12 poundes - inserted]. Fine 10 poundes.

John Cogan [70], son of William Cogan, holds by indenture dated 17 Oct 33 Henry VIII [1541 by grant of William, Bishop of Bath and Wells, one close of pasture called Breechlandes, containing 8 acres, for rent thence p.a. of 4s, and yerelie to be letten for 53s 4d, fine 12 poundes. A further estate was granted to Edward Mundaie for term of 51 years after the death of the said John Cogan if John Mundaie and Elizabeth Mundaie, children of the said Edward, or any of them so long live.
