Gilbert was born about 1225 in Hereford, Herefordshire, England. Gilbert's father was Richard de Talbot and his mother was Aliva Bassett. His paternal grandfather was Gilbert de Talbot; his maternal grandparents were Alan Basset Lord Basset of Wycombe and Aline (Alvira) de Grey. He was an only child. He died on September 8th, 1274 in of Eccleswall, Herefordshire.1 -
