Hugh was born about 1401 in Raby, Cheshire, England. Hugh's father was Hugh de Hulse and his mother was Ellen Bruen. His paternal grandparents were William de Hulse and Sibyl de Norbury; his maternal grandparents were Hugh FitzRoger and Margery Picmere. He was an only child. He died in June 1415.-
