Burchard de Avesnes 
Burchard was born in 1182 in Oizy, Namur, Belgium.1 Burchard's father was Jacques de Avesnes and his mother was Adelphie de Guise. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas "Plukiel" sn de Avesnes and Mathilde Cts de la Roche; his maternal grandparents were Bernard de Guise and Alix Unknown. He was an only child. He died at the age of 62 in 1244.1 -
