Martha Walkup 
Martha was born on October 12th, 1808 in , Rutherford, NC. Martha's father was William Walkup and her mother was Hannah Oliver. Her paternal grandparents were James Alexander Walkup and Margaret Nancy Pickens. She had a brother and six sisters, named James, Caroline, Jane, Margaret, Rebecca, Eliza and Nancy. She was the youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 20 on September 5th, 1829.-
