Sylvester Totman

Sylvester was born in 1805 in Lorraine, Jefferson, NY.¹   Sylvester's father was Thomas Totman and his mother was Rachel Rice. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Calvin, William, Ward, Ward, Relief, Dorothy and Rachel.  He was the youngest of the ten children.
