Patience was born in 1653 in Sandwich, Barnstable, MA.1   Patience's father was James Skiff and her mother was Mary Reeves. She had five brothers and five sisters, named James, Stephen, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Nathan, Sarah, Bathseba, Mary, Miriam and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 65 in 1718 in MA.1
