Robert was born on October 8th, 1907 in Wolcott, Wayne, NY.1 Robert's father was John Clayton Sharp and his mother was Minnie Jane Fitch. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Henry Sharp and Sarah Maria Joiner; his maternal grandparents were Cyrus E Fitch and Eleanor Pearsall. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Kenneth, Harold, Helen and Eleanor Eloise. He was the youngest of the five children.-
