Jacob Janse was born in 1622 in Schermerhorn, Waterland, Nord-Holland, Netherlands. Jacob Janse's father was Jan Schermerhorn. His paternal grandfather was Jacob Rijer Schermerhorn. He was an only child. He died at the age of 66 on May 20th, 1688 in Albany, Albany, NY.
