George was born in 1655 in Plympton, Plymouth, MA.  George's father was Abraham Sampson.  His paternal grandparents were Lawrence Sampson and Mary Shaybery. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Abraham, Isaac, Judith and Mary.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 84 on July 26th, 1739 in Plympton, Plymouth, MA.
