Anne was born in 1666 in Boston, Suffolk, MA.1 Anne's father was Gamaliel Phippen and her mother was Sarah Purchase. Her paternal grandparents were David Phippen and Sarah Pinckney. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Gamaliel, Gamaliel, Sarah, Hannah Anna, Elizabeth, Mehitable and Rebecca.-
