Jakob Ailkes Niewold 
Jakob Ailkes was born in 1804 in Marsum, Appingedam, Groningen, Holland.1 Jakob Ailkes' father was Hendrik Ailkes Niewold and his mother was Trijntje Tjaarts Wieswaag. His paternal grandparents were Ailko Klaasens Niewold and Bouwe Jans. He was an only child. He died at the age of 61 in 1865 in New Holland, Logan, IL.1
