Gormflaeth ingen Murchada's father was Morugh MacFinn King of Leinster and her mother was daughter O'Ruarc.  Her paternal grandfather was Finn macMáel Mórda O'Fáeláin; her maternal grandparents were Fergal O'Ruarc and daughter of Connacht.  She was an only child.  She died in 1030.1
