Alfonso II the Chaste de Aragón was born in May 1152 in Aragón, Spain.1 Alfonso II the Chaste de Aragón's father was Raimond Berenger V le Saint Ct de Provence and his mother was Petronilla Ramirez Queen of Aragón. His paternal grandparents were Raimund Arnolda Berenger IV Ct de Barcelona and Dolca (Aldonza) de Gevaudan Cts de Provence; his maternal grandparents were Ramiro II Sanchez the Monk King of Aragón and Agnes de Aquitaine. He had a sister named Dulcia Raimundez. He died at the age of 43 on April 25th, 1196 in Perpignan, Pyrennes-Orienta, Aragón, France.1 General Notes
