His paternal grandparents were Pepin III the Short King of Franks and Bertrada Cts of Laon. He had seven half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Charles the Younger, Pepin I de Lombardy, Lothar, Louis I the Pious de Aquitaine, Rotrud, Ruothild of Faremoutiers, Hugh L' Abbe, Adelaide, Bertha, Gisela, Hildegard, Hiltrude, Theodrada of Argenteuil, Adaltrude and Alpais. He died in 0844 in Holy Roman Empire.1 -
