Rachel was born about 1645 in Northampton, Hampshire, MA.  Rachel's father was William Holton and her mother was Mary Winche.  Her paternal grandfather was Thomas Houlton. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Samuel, Thomas, William, Sarah, Mary and Ruth.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  She died in 1714 in CT.
