Mary Louise was born on June 5th, 1923 in Grand Rapids, Kent, MI. Mary Louise's father was John Martin Hoekstra and her mother was Lillian Fern Strong. Her paternal grandparents were Martin Hoekstra and Jennie Ton; her maternal grandparents were Charles Frisbie Strong and Mary Lucy Wright. She had two sisters named Ruth Lillian and Hope Milded. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 70 in May 1994.-
