Abraham was born in 1570 in Northowram, Halifax, Yorkshire, England. Abraham's father was Lawrence Halstead and his mother was Hester Chamberlain. His paternal grandparents were John Halstead and Mary Sellers; his maternal grandfather was Abraham Chamberlain. He was an only child. He died at the age of 42 on November 8th, 1612 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England.-
