John Jones was born on April 21st, 1840 in , Cape May, NJ.1 John Jones' father was John Gandy and his mother was Martha Corson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Gandy and Elizabeth Springer; his maternal grandparents were Lewis Corson and Rebecca Maddox. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Lewis Corson, Francis, Lydia Ann and Rebecca Mattox. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 54 in 1894 in , Cape May, NJ.1 -
