  Among the passengers of the Mayflower who landed at Plymouth in 1620, were two brothers, Edward and Dr. Samuel Fuller. Edward was accompanied by his wife, Ann, and his son, Samuel. During the winter which was a severe one for the Pilgrims, both Edward and his wife were among the number that died, and their son, Samuel, was left to the care of his uncle, Dr. Samuel.
  
  Matthew Fuller, an elder son of Edward, came to Plymouth about 1640 with his wife and three children. He was a prominent man in the Colony; was captain in the militia, Surgeon-General of the Colony troops, and served as Chairman in the Council of War in 1671.
  
  Samuel2 Fuller, son of Edward, resided at Plymouth and received three shares in the division of land in 1624. He was executor of his uncle's will in 1633. Soon after he removed to Scituate, where he built the fifteenth house of the place in 1635. He resided there until about 1641, when he became a resident of Barnstable, where he died 31 October, 1683, one of the last survivors of those who came in the Mayflower. He was a man of retiring habits, eminently pious and one whom posterity will ever honor.
  
  Governor Bradford simply says that "Edward Fuller and his wife died soon after they came on shore." Edward died at Plymouth, between Jan. 11 and April 10, 1621 -- and his wife died early in 1621. The name of the wife of Edward1 Fuller, was Ann.
