EAldred of Bernicia Earl of Bernicia

EAldred of Bernicia was born in of Northumbria beyond Tyne, Scotland.¹   EAldred of Bernicia's father was Uchtred (Ughtred) Earl of Northumbria and his mother was Ecgfrida of Chester.  His paternal grandparents were Waltheof of Northumbria Earl of Northumbria and Elfeda (of Northumbria); his maternal grandfather was Ealdhun Bishop of Durham. He had a half-sister named Ealdgyth (AEglithia).  He died  due to Slew Thurbrand and was then murdered by Thurbrand's son Karl. in 1038.¹
