Arnulf de Holland was born in 0961.¹   Arnulf de Holland's father was Dirk II de Holland Ct de Holland and his mother was Hildegarde de Gand.  His paternal grandparents were Dirk I de Holland Ct de Holland and Gerberge (de Holland); his maternal grandparents were Wichmann de Gand Ct de Gand and Unknown. He had a sister named Hildegarde.  He was the older of the two children.¹
