Burial in Parish church of Thornecombe, Devon, gives 12 d. each to the poor man's box and to the poor there, names sons John (eldest), Barnarde, William (youngest, under 21 yrs.) and daughters Eleanor (eldest) and Mary (youngest) both unmarried; overseers Thomas Penye of Beare Hall [is in Axminster] and neighbor John Gybbes, witnesses, Barnarde Penye, William Peny, William Parys and Vincent Langton.
