Hopestill Clapp 
Hopestill was born on November 6th, 1647. Hopestill's father was Roger Clapp and his mother was Joanna Ford. His paternal grandparents were William Clapp and Johan Channon; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Ford and Elizabeth Charde. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel, William, Preserved, Desire, Thomas, Elizabeth, Experience, Waitstill, Experience, Wait, Unite and Supply. He was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 71 on September 2nd, 1719.-
