William Cary 
William was born in 1767 in Windham, Windham, CT.1 William's father was William Cary and his mother was Eunice Webb. His paternal grandparents were Eleazer Cary and Lydia Throope. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Eleazer, Oliver, Elliott, James, Throop, John, Susanna, Mary, Eunice, Lydia, Susanna, Lydia and Nancy. He was the sixth oldest of the fourteen children.-
