Philip was born in 1400 in Cockington, Devon, England.1 Philip's father was Robert Cary and his mother was Jane Hanchford. His paternal grandparents were John Cary and Margaret Holway; his maternal grandfather was William Henchford. He had a half-sister named Johanna. He died at the age of 38 in 1438 in Bristol, Somerset, England.1 -
