Her paternal grandparents were John Cary and Elizabeth Godfrey; her maternal grandparents were James Penniman and Lydia Eliot. She had eight brothers and a sister, named Seth, John, Nathaniel, Eleazer, James, Benjamin, Josiah, Timothy and Abigail. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children. She died in Newport, Newport, RI.1 -
