Josiah Bumpas 
Josiah was born on July 22nd, 1711 in Rochester, Plymouth, MA. Josiah's father was Isaac Bumpas and his mother was Mary Perry. His paternal grandparents were John Bumpas and Sarah Hunter; his maternal grandparents were Ezra Perry and Rebecca Freeman. He had a brother and two sisters, named Nathan, Deborah and Rhoda. He was the oldest of the four children. He died after 1757.General Notes

Notes for JOSIAH BUMPAS:
Josiah lived in Rochester, later called Wareham, until 1747 when he moved with his family to CT, apparently near Lyme. In 1754 he moved to East Haddam, CT. Three of his sons, Isaac, Josiah and Reuben moved more or less at the same time, around 1789, to Brattleboro, VT. Reuben and possibly Reuben moved shortly thereafter to Jericho, NY.
