Roger de Bertram was born about 1126 in Mitford, Northumberland, England.  Roger de Bertram's father was William de Bertram Baron Mitford and his mother was Hawise de Baliol.  His paternal grandparents were Richard de Bertram and Sybilla de Mitford; his maternal grandparents were Guy de Baliol and Dionysia Unknown.  He was an only child.  He died after 1172 in Brinkum,, England.1
