His paternal grandparents were Gilbert "Crispin" Ct de Brienne and Gunnora de Aunou; his maternal grandparents were Walter Giffard Earl of Buckingham and Agnes Ermentrude Fleitel. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Gilbert FitzRichard de Clare, Robert FitzRichard, Rohese FitzRichard and Avice. He died at the age of 38 in 1100.1 -
