Bobby Lester

Newberry - Funeral services for bobby Gene Lester, 62, of 4041 Stoney
Hill Rd., will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church,
with the Rev. Art Hallman. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 tonight at Whitaker Funeral Home. The
family will be at the residence of Neal and Gina Lester, 3943 Stoney Hill
Rd., Newberry. Whitaker Funeral Home is in charge. Memorials may be
made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 4056 St. Luke's Lutheran Church Rd.,
Prosperity, SC 29127.

Mr. Lester died Wednesday night, February 9, 2000 at his residence. Born
in Saluda County, he was a son of Grace Hare Lester and the late C.
Eugene Lester. He was retired from Old School Manufacturing Company and
was co-owner of the Smokehouse. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran
Church, a former member of th Congregational Council and a former Little
League baseball coach.

He is survived by his wife, Rosann Fulmer Lester of the home; mother of
Newberry; sons and daughter-in-law, Robby and Crystal Lester, Neal and
Gina Lester, both of Newberry, Mark and Beth Lester of Chapin; brother,
Carroll Lester of Newberry; father-in-law, Joe Keith Fulmer of Little
Mountain; grandchildren, Danielle, Laura, Adam and Jordan Lester.
