Is this THIS Gilbert Basset? : Egeline, wife of Gilbert Basset ( d.1205), was apparently the daughter of Reynold de Courtenay (d. 1194) and Hawise de Courcy/Curci (d.1219) lady of Okehampton. [V CH Oxon VI:21, 325; VHC Bucks IV:114]

My references for Gilbert are: HKFII:221, III:38, 39; VCH Oxon V I:21, 325; VHC Bucks IV:114; A Wagner *Pedigree and Progress: E ssays in the genealogical interpretation of history* (Phillimore : London, 1975) 208, 259. He is also mentioned by Round as hei r of his father, Thomas (d.?1182) in DNB I:1306.
