Geoffrey II's father was Routrou I of Chateaudun and his mother was Adela de Bellême.  His maternal grandparents were Warin de Montagne Ct of Perche and Melisende de Châteaudun. He had a half-brother named Geoffrey de Mortaigne.  He died in October 1100.1
