Roger de Mortimer 
Roger was born about 1231.1 Roger's father was Ralph de Mortimer and his mother was Gladys Dhu. His paternal grandparents were Roger de Mortimer and Isabel; his maternal grandparents were Llewellyn ap Iorwerth and Tangwystl verch Llywarch. He had a half-brother named Sir Roger. He died before October 30th, 1282 in Kingsland.1 General Notes

Weis says he was great-grandson of King John of England, but sus pect this is from a mistaken belief that Gladys Dhu who marrie d Ralph de Mortimer was a child of Llewellyn ap Iorwerth by Joan , a natural daughter of King John, rather than by Tangwystl, a m istress of Llewellyn, which seems to be the accepted version o f events.
