Owain ap Hywel Dda

Owain was born in 0913 in of Dynevor, Llandyfeisant, Carmarthenshire, Wales.¹ Owain's father was Hywel 'Dda' ap Cadell Prince of Wales and his mother was Elen verch Llywarch. His paternal grandparents were Cadell ap Rhodri Mawr Prince of Deheubarth and Rheingar (of Deheubarth); his maternal grandfather was Llywarch ap Hyfaidd. He had a sister named Angharad. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 75 in 0988.¹
