Ralph's father was Herbert I Vicomte De Thouars and his mother was Hildegarde. His paternal grandparents were Amauri II Vicomte De Thouars and Alienor; his maternal grandparents were Cadelon III Vicomte De Aubrey and Senegonda. He had a brother named Savaric III. He died about 1014.1 General Notes
