William Stone 
William was born in 1603 in Derbyshire, England. William's father was John Stone and his mother was Dorothy. His paternal grandparents were Richard Stone and Elizabeth Isabelle Girdler. He had a half-brother named William. He died at the age of 56 in 1659 in Poynton Manor, Nangemy Parish, Charles, MD.General Notes
He was Governor of Maryland, the first Protestant Governor, Capt. of Colonial Service, and the third Colonial Governor appointed by Lord Baltimore in 1648
