St. was born about 0535 in of Metz, Austrasia, France.1   St.'s father was Clotaire I King of Franks and his mother was Ingonde (Radegond) von Thuringia.  His paternal grandparents were Clovis Magnus King of Franks and St.; his maternal grandfather was Berthar Half King of Thuringia. He had two brothers named Chilperic I of the Franks and Charibert.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died in Metz, Austrasia, France.1
