John William Spruill

John William was born in 1856.¹   John William's father was Archibald Bigbie\Bigby Spruill and his mother was Martha Elizabeth Bonner.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Wesley Spruill and Margaret Ann Bigby. He had four brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James Bonner, Thomas Jeptha, Floyd D., George Boling, Anna Lahrah, Mary Boling, Sarah Bonner and Spruill.  He was the third oldest of the nine children. He had seven half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James Bonner, Thomas Jeptha, John William, (Infant), Floyd D., George Boling, Emmett Archibald, Annie Laura and Sarah Bonner.  He died at the age of 23 in 1879.¹
